This paper is a collection of practical tests about the comparison of the different obscuration effect in the infrared wave range taking place at a smoke tunnel with an area of 60 cube meters. Matter spraying system was carried out by turbojet motor and was recorded simultaneously by two optical and thermal cameras. In this collection, two hot bodies with different temperatures and distances relative to the thermal sensor were used as a sample. At the end, several materials that are affected in the infrared wave range were assessed. By analyzing thermal films and pictures, it was evident that graphite powder (synthetic and natural) in the infrared wave range in comparison with the substances such as iron oxide, carbon black and dolomite contains the best result.
